our roots

In 2003 our company started importing natural stone Travertine tile directly from overseas quarries and factories and distributing the product across the United States to major distribution centers located in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Miami, Dallas and Houston, Texas.

During the Great Recession of 2008-09, since the founders of the company had already lived in Houston for over 30 years, they decided to focus on becoming a regional distributor in Texas and the surrounding border states. In 2009 a 5,000 SF warehouse was opened in Houston and by 2014 the company utilized a 90,000 SF facility.

From 2009 to 2014, the company expanded by carrying many new product lines. In flooring applications, we added marble, porcelain, wood, vinyl, slate and pavers. The slab distribution center in 2010 initially started by carrying Granite, Marble, Limestone, Travertine and today we stock some of the rarest and most exotic slabs from around the world.  Plus, we still have product available with the most competitive pricing available within our industry.

The year 2012 saw the opening of the prefabricated countertop distribution center, with 30,000 SF of warehouse space and today stocking the largest prefab inventory in Texas with over 52 colors available in Granite, Marble, Quartz and Quartzite.

Further product line expansion came in 2015 with the introduction of the TELLUS Quartz Collection and in 2017 porcelain slabs were brought into our catalog of products. Now our Houston warehouse carries one of the three largest porcelain slab inventories in the entire United States.

 The year 2015 also saw the strategic opportunity to purchase the entire operation of “Colours of the Rainbow,” one of the oldest, well known and respected natural stone showrooms and distributors in Texas. With this addition, our company has now grown to 4 modern distribution centers with a total warehouse capacity of 170,000SF in the Houston area.

Our company prides itself on offering time saving “one stop” service to our valued retailers, fabricators, contractors, builder and designers. This is accomplished by having a large and complete catalog of products and by offering our customers competitive pricing and excellent customer service.  Colours today employs 40 employees and that includes 14 experienced sales managers and associates who daily are committed to offering nothing short of an excellent experience to our valued customers.
